Welcome!! Well it seems that our show season is just about here! I am really looking forward to this year and the events that we have coming up.  For starters, we are going to have a Rookie Day at Chris Watson's Ranch in Decatur, Alabama.  It will be on May 8 and it will start at 9:30 and run until about 5:00 that evening.  We will have three trainers on hand giving you the lastest in training advice and we will have things for the kids as well.  We look forward to meeting you for a fun filled day where we will officially introduce reining to Alabama.  Please contact Sharon Thompson or Chris Watson for further information.

We are adding a few things to our shows this year that we are hoping everyone will like, such as circuit awards; year end awards; and a few extra ancillary classes like Green Rider I and Green Rider II, and a little sliders class.  The biggest difference between the Green Rider I and Green Rider II class is that in Green I the rider will have the option of stopping in the middle and doing a lead departure rather than a flying lead change.  This is really good for those who are new to reining because it breaks the pattern into 3 segments and gives the rider and horse both an opportunity to stop and take a breath.  The little sliders class will be for riders 6 and under, accompanied by an adult!
