GREETINGS FROM THE ALABAMA REINING HORSE ASSOCIATION !!!!!
Welcome!! Show season is finally here and we are having great weather to go with it. I am really looking forward to the shows that we have planned for this year and the first one is just around the corner, June 12,13.
We are adding a few things to our shows this year that we are hoping everyone will like, such as class awards, circuit awards; year end awards (belt buckles for 1st place); and a few extra ancillary classes like Green Rider I and Green Rider II. The biggest difference between the Green Rider I and Green Rider II class is that in Green I the rider will have the option of stopping in the middle and doing a lead departure rather than a flying lead change. This is really good for those who are new to reining because it breaks the pattern into 3 segments and gives the rider and horse both an opportunity to stop and take a breath.
So whether you are considereing reining as a hobby, if you are a seasoned professional, or if you just love horses, you are in the right spot. We invite you to look around our website. We need you !!! Our association cannot thrive without the help and support from its members. We have plenty of room for volunteers to help out at our shows and other events. 2010 memberships are now due.
